Features

You can use after-event order recording to document unforeseen and urgent maintenance work by creating an order and confirming in the same work step.

After-event order recording is useful if you have already completed the work and subsequently want to record these activities in the system. You enter the required data in just a few fields and it can then be used for the planning objects (such as maintenance orders) and for actual recording (order confirmation, notification data, goods movements). Here, the planned data does not differ from the actual data, that is the work recorded on an operation corresponds to the confirmed actual work. The order is created, released, and if required, technically completed. In addition, you can install, dismantle, or replace pieces of equipment.

The “roadmap” guides you step-by-step through the process of after-event order recording:

  1. Order/Confirmation Data

You create a maintenance order or service order and enter order data and working times. If an order type with notification is set in Customizing, you can also enter notification data.

  2. Goods Movement

    You enter any materials used.

  3. Equipment Installation/Removal

You enter any installation or dismantling data if pieces of equipment were installed or dismantled in the course of maintenance work.

  4. Check and Save

You can correct any data containing errors by returning to the relevant step.

  5. Completed

After-event order recording was completed successfully.

    Note Note

Note that for after-event order recording, no order types with external number assignment are supported.

    End of the note.

Prerequisites

  • You are authorized to create maintenance and service orders and notifications and to record confirmations.

  • You are authorized to install and dismantle equipment.

  • You have authorization for after-event order recording (authorization object I_AER).

  • You have set the default values for order type, plant, and business area for after-event order recording. The values are necessary to start after-event recording.

You make these settings in Customizing by choosing Start of the navigation path Cross-Application Components Next navigation step General Application Functions Next navigation step Generic mySAP Suite Functions Next navigation step Personalization Next navigation step Help Functions in the Personalization Environment Next navigation step Personalization Data: Single Processing End of the navigation path or Personalization Data: Collective Processing . Enter DIA_MT_ORDER_AERas the personalization dialog.

Optional Settings

  • If you also want to record notification data, you must set an order type with notification details. You make these settings in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service by choosing Start of the navigation path Maintenance and Service Processing Next navigation step Maintenance and Service Orders Next navigation step Functions and Settings for Order Types Next navigation step Define Notification and Order Integration End of the navigation path .

Select Notifctn so that you can also enter or display notification data in the order header.

You can influence the display of the fields for orders and notifications, for example, by specifying which fields are hidden or displayed. To do this, call up the Web Dynpro application in test mode for administrators in the back-end system and choose CTRL+secondary mouse button . For more information, see Personalization and Configuration .

For after-event recording, it is useful to set defaults for some fields, such as the control key for the operation.
