Business Package for Maintenance Technician 1.2 The Business Package for Maintenance Technician contains many functions for the daily tasks of a maintenance technician. The technician can find all the information he or she needs to do his or her job quickly and easily, and can confirm the work he or she performed.
This business package is aimed at maintenance technicians and makes it easier for them to carry out their daily work.
The
Work Overview
provides a personal object worklist containing maintenance and service notifications, maintenance and service orders, maintenance tasks, and confirmations. It allows direct access to confirmation, and allows you to create new notifications and orders from here or call after-event order recording.
The work of a maintenance technician is based on technical objects (pieces of equipment and functional locations) that are mapped in the system. Equipment can contain a maintenance assembly (that is a bill of materials) that is used to represent the configuration and possible spare parts for a specific object. You can use the
Structure Display
to display the structure of technical objects and to dismantle, install, or exchange pieces of equipment. In the technical structure view, you can also see the next maintenance date for a technical object and the quantity of spare parts currently available at the plant.
You use this workset to evaluate your maintenance data and display reports.
The service map groups the jumps to applications that are relevant for the maintenance technician. You can use the following functions:
Create Confirmation
You can confirm your working times, enter goods movements, or add details to notifications.
After-Event Order Recording
You can use after-event order recording to document unforeseen and urgent maintenance work by creating an order and confirming in the same work step.
Notifications
You can create, change, and display notifications. Examples of this function are supplied for the notification types “malfunction report” and “maintenance request.”
For more information, see the iView Functions for Notifications .
Orders
You can create, change, and display orders. Examples of this function are supplied for the order types “maintenance order” and “maintenance order/notification.”
For more information, see iView Functions for Orders .
In addition, you can call some relevant transactions in the ERP system from the service map . For example:
Display equipment or functional location
Change and display notification
Edit and display task
Create measurement document
