A substance that is necessary for organisms to grow and thrive.

Structure

Every nutrient belongs to a nutrient group. Examples of nutrient groups are vitamins, fats, carbohydrates, and minerals. Each nutrient and nutrient group is represented in the SAP system by a specification.

Integration

You specify the nutrient content of a substance in the specification of this substance in a special value assignment type(see Entry of Nutrient Composition ).

In the nutrient views , the system determines the nutrient content of the primary output of the formula. You can transfer the determined nutrient content to the nutrient composition of the primary output if required.
