Document Class
Definition
Classification of documents. The document class determines which functions of the Business Workplace which can be applied to the document in question.
Integration
The different document classes are managed in an administration table. This table defines, for example, which documents can be created in the Business Workplace UI. For more information, see the administration section of this documentation.
In the private office settings, users can define which document classes are displayed to them directly under a user-defined name (for example, Word document for DOC) for creation in the Business Workplace. Administrators can define a default for this setting in the shared office settings, so that the document classes used most often are displayed directly to all users.
