Background documentationCreating Change Requests

Project Issue and Change Management allows you to create change requests in the system so that you can process project deviations and mitigate the effects of changes in quality, schedule, execution plan, and costs.

Example Example

During the execution phase, the customer requires a change in the flooring used in the conference center. The project manager creates a change request and a corresponding cost estimation alternative for changing the initially planned marble floors to wooden floors.

End of the example.

Note that on this screen, you can also enter the change request title, the change request description, probability, employee responsible, priority, and impact. For more information about priorities and impact, see Setting Priorities and Impact (Change Request).

    Note Note

Alternatively, you can also load values specified in another change request by choosing the Copy Change Request pushbutton. This allows you to use existing change requests as templates for similar changes.
