Configuring Control for Sales Order Confirmations

Configure output control for IDoc types representing sales orders and sale order confirmations. By configuring these controls, updates to sales order statuses are replicated from the SAP back end (SAP S/4HANA), to SAP CPQ.

The procedures outlined here are for a scenario in which quotes are created in SAP CPQ and replicated to the SAP back end. Once replication is complete, the sales order fulfillment process, including delivery and goods issue, is carried out in SAP S/4HANA.

Before starting the procedures for configuring output control for sales order confirmations, define the following:

  • RFC destination to Data Hub

  • Port

  • Logical system

  • Partner profile

Maintaining Output Determination for Sales Documents

To maintain output determination for sales documents, you maintain output types, maintain output determination procedures, and assign output determination procedures.

Defining a Condition Record

For the order type (sales document type) representing sales orders that originate in SAP CPQ, an order confirmation is triggered. For order type ZTAH, for example, order confirmation ZBAH is triggered. Create a condition record for the order type representing sales orders that originate in SAP CPQ to trigger order confirmations.

Define a distribution model as part of the process for configuring output control for IDoc types representing sales orders and sale order confirmations.
