Entry of Aircraft Accidents

Use

If an aircraft accident occurs, the incident must be documented with all the relevant aircraft data.

Prerequisites

You have created an output device with the following attributes in the Spool Administration transaction (transaction code SPAD) by choosing Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step CCMS End of the navigation path from the SAP menu:

  • Device Types tab page

In the Device Types field, you have selected PDF1 .

  • Devices/Servers tab page

In the Access Methods field, you have selected L .

If you do not have the relevant authorization for creating an output device in spool administration, it can be created by system administration. For more information about setting up an output device, see SAP Note 6753 ( Printing in file ).

Features

The system creates a PDF file containing all the relevant aircraft data such as equipment data, flights, orders, notifications, measurement documents, and order confirmations. You define the precise scope in the Business Add-In (BAdI) /ISDFPS/BADI_PM_MBOOK.

Note Note

The evaluation can be started only once for a given selection of aircraft, date, and time.

End of the note.

Activities

  1. Start the Enter Aircraft Accident transaction (transaction code /ISDFPS/LMACC1).

You can also enter an aircraft accident using the Maintenance Book application (transaction code /ISDFPS/PMBOOK0). To do so, choose service book type Aircraft Accident .

  2. Enter the equipment number of the aircraft that was involved in the accident.

  3. Enter the date and time of the accident.

  4. Enter a selection limit.

The system considers only maintenance data up to this date.

If you do not enter a date, it is determined within the system using BAdI /ISDFPS/BADI_PM_MBOOK.

  5. In the File Name field under Details for PDF Output , enter a file name with the extension .PDF under which the system is to save the file.

  6. Enter the text for the aircraft accident.

  7. Before you execute the program, you can change settings that control the program flow. You need to configure the settings if the aircraft accident is the first accident to be recorded. These settings apply for the entire logical system.

    1. Choose Start of the navigation path Extras Next navigation step Settings End of the navigation path .

    2. Enter the output device.

    3. In the Spool Storage field, specify the path on an application server where the system is to save the spool file.

      Note Note

If an SAP system has multiple application servers, select a directory to which all application servers have access.

      End of the note.
    4. Set the Delete PDF File After Retrieval? indicator so that the system can automatically delete the file that is no longer required.

    5. Choose Save .

  8. Choose Format Data .

The system creates the PDF file according to the configuration you specified.
