Video: Explore Data

In this video tutorial, you'll explore and visualize data that was imported directly into the story.

Prerequisites

Before exploring data, first import data directly into a story. For an example, see Video: Import Data into Stories.

  1. [0:00] In the Data Exploration view, choose the dimensions you want to see.
    In your story, select Data View to switch to the Explorer and ensure the Data Exploration view () is selected. For details, see Accessing the Explorer.
  2. [1:22] View suggested charts based on the measures and dimensions you select.
  3. [1:51] Change the suggested chart type manually and then customize the chart details from the menu.
  4. [2:46] Copy the visualized data to a canvas page in your story.
  5. [3:05] Return to the Data View, clear the chart, and continue exploring your data.
