Objects
A transport package is a transportable archive containing the portal objects that for export and import.
All objects in the Portal Content Directory (PCD) can be exported and imported (such as roles, worksets, pages, iViews). The permissions belonging to the objects can also be transported. (For more information, see Transporting Permissions.)
The packages and data for import and export as well as the log files for migrating content objects are stored in the relevant directories of the file system of the Java EE. These directories are defined in the PCD (Portal Content Directory) configuration. See also Configuring the PCD.
All the relevant parameters for transporting and migrating objects must be defined when the PCD is configured. This includes information about the storage of:
· Import and export files
· Log files
· Temporary files to be transported or migrated
