 Adjusting the Synchronization Point

Use

In exceptional cases, the synchronization point may be lost. For example, because a SAP R/3 maintenance plan has been restarted, even though demands already exist in SAP SCM. In such cases, you adjust the synchronization point in SAP SCM.

Procedure

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Maintenance and Service Planning Next navigation step Planning Next navigation step Maintenance and Service Planning Board End of the navigation path .

  2. In the Navigator , select the demand for which you want to change the synchronization point.

  3. In the context menu, choose Adjust Sync.Point .

  4. In the Sync. Point group box, change the existing Call Obj. ( Call Object ) to the required synchronization point and choose Enter .

    The demand for which you change the synchronization point becomes the new first demand in SAP SCM. In other words, this demand becomes the starting point for planning purposes.

  5. Save the updated maintenance plan.
