Use

You use this function to access data in the available Integration Engines.

Prerequisites

You have started the Runtime Workbench from the SAP Exchange Infrastructure start page and have expanded the subnode Integration Engines in the Exchange Infrastructure structure on the left-hand side of the screen.

Features

All available Integration Engines including the defined (and highlighted in bold) Integration Server are displayed under the subnode Integration Engines. The corresponding pipelines and adapters are located beneath each Integration Engine or Integration Server. You can select and display each of these components individually.

The type of Integration Engine, pipeline, pipeline service, or adapter selected is displayed in the window on the right-hand side of the screen. Additionally, you can check the configuration parameters, query the status of components in the Integration Engines, and execute a self-test.

Activities

To check configuration parameters, select a category of configuration parameters using the input help for the Configuration Parameters tab page in the window on the right-hand side of the screen.

Note

The Configuration Parameters tag page is only displayed if the corresponding component is correctly maintained in the System Landscape Directory.

If data for an Integration Engine is displayed in the window, you have the following options:

The status of the Integration Engine is displayed in the form of a traffic light. The individual statuses (red, yellow, and green) are explained by a corresponding short text.

When the status is OK (green) the name of the business system (Integration Engine), the vendor, the role of the Integration Engine, and the client are displayed.

The status of the component is displayed in the form of a traffic light. The individual statuses (red, yellow, and green) are explained by a corresponding short text.

When the status is OK (green), other traffic lights are displayed that always have the status OK. Otherwise, they would not be displayed and the status traffic light would be red or yellow.

Note

If only the Ping and Self-Test tab pages are displayed then the corresponding component is not correctly maintained in the System Landscape Directory. If you then choose either Start Ping or Start Self-Test, the system displays a red status traffic light and the message Component not available.
