Definition

With a mapping relation you assign the following to an outbound interface:

·        An inbound interface

·        The name and the version of an interface mapping

Structure

The graphic below show the structure of a mapping relation for the outbound interface IF_1:

In the example mapping relation, the outbound interface IF_1 on the sender system BS_1 is assigned the inbound interface IF_2 on the receiver system BS_B.

Displaying Mapping Relations in the Integration Builder Navigation Area

Mapping relations are grouped according to outbound interfaces in the Integration Builder navigation area.

Note the following:

·        If exactly one mapping relation is defined for an outbound interface, then the icon This graphic is explained in the accompanying text is displayed next to the outbound interface in the navigation tree. Choose this icon to navigate directly to the Display/Change Mapping Relation Editor.

·        If more than one mapping relation is defined for an outbound interface, then the icon This graphic is explained in the accompanying text is displayed next to the outbound interface in the navigation tree. In this case, first navigate to the overview table of all mapping relations (see: Overview of all Mapping Relations), then navigate to the individual mapping relations.
