Configuring the Launchpad
There are various methods for configuring the SAP Fiori launchpad. This section gives an overview of these methods and explains which setting takes precedence if a parameter has been defined in more than one place.
The following table shows the configuration methods and their priorities:

| 1 | URL parameters |
Parameters that you provide in a URL override any other parameters.
Note The set of
parameters that you can configure in the URL is different from
the set of parameters that you can configure in a configuration
file or in the
FioriLaunchpad.html
file.

| 2 | Launchpad configuration files |
In a launchpad configuration file, you can set parameters for the launchpad without modifying any files delivered by SAP. For example, this allows you to disable personalization. Parameters that you define in a launchpad configuration file override any parameters defined in the FioriLaunchpad.html file or in Customizing. | 3 | Customizing |
This configuration method is only available on ABAP-based systems. Parameters that you define in Customizing on the front-end server override any parameters defined in the FioriLaunchpad.html file. For more information, see Defining Configuration Parameters in Customizing |
| 4 | FioriLaunchpad.html file |
This file is delivered by SAP and is installed on the front-end server. It contains some default parameters. Caution
The FioriLaunchpad.html file is delivered by SAP. If you modify this file, your changes might be overwritten when you upgrade your system to a new release or support package. For this reason, remember to create a backup copy of the FioriLaunchpad.html file before upgrading. For more information, see Setting Parameters in the FioriLaunchpad.html File. |
