Creating a Social Media Integration RoleLocate this document in the navigation structure

You create a role on the SAP Gateway server and assign users to allow them to view the tiles in your Social Media Catalog.

Procedure

  1. On the SAP Gateway server, run transaction PFCG.
  2. Create a role for Social Media Integration or choose an existing role.
  3. Assign users to the role.
  4. Assign the Social Media Catalog you created to the role for Social Media Integration:
    1. From the Menu tab page, choose Start of the navigation path Transaction Next navigation step Catalog End of the navigation path.
    2. From the Catalog Provider dropdown list, select Remote Catalog.
      The Catalog ID screen appears.
    3. Select the Social Media Integration catalog you created.
    4. Save your entries.
      All users assigned to this role now have authorization to view the tiles in the Social Media Catalog.

Results

The tiles in your Social Media Catalog are now available for all users assigned to your role. Users can add these tiles to the SAP Fiori launchpad (see Adding the SAP Jam-Related Tiles to Your SAP Fiori Launchpad).
Note The system may require several minutes to refresh before the tiles become available.
