Configuring the SAP Gateway ServerLocate this document in the navigation structure

This section describes how to define the connection from SAP Gateway to the application back-end system.

In this section, it is assumed that the server components of SAP Gateway are configured. It is important to configure the connection from SAP Gateway to the SAP back-end system to support the following:

  • Replication of the subscriptions between the SAP Gateway BEP and hub components

  • OData service execution due to callbacks from SAP Jam

For more information, see the related sections in SAP Library for SAP Gateway on SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/nwgateway.

  • OAuth 2.0 flow between SAP Jam and your SAP Gateway server. This is required if business object information will be displayed in SAP Jam.

For more information, see the Developer Guide for SAP Jam on SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/sapjam.

RFC communication takes place according to the basic message flow as follows:
  • Delegate OData requests from the SAP Gateway server to the service implementation in the back-end system

  • Exchange subscriptions between the SAP Gateway server and the application back-end system
