Defining the Application Context on the Front-End ServerLocate this document in the navigation structure

You specify the application context on the SAP Gateway server for each connection to a back-end system. This application context is required to enable a remote function call (RFC) from the front-end to the back-end system.

Procedure

  1. On the SAP Gateway server, run transaction SM30.
    The Maintain Table Entries screen appears.
  2. In the Table/View field, enter CLB2V_APPL_CONT.
  3. Choose Edit, then choose New Entries.
  4. Enter an appropriate application context for your back-end application.

  5. Save your entries.

Results

You have defined the application contexts on the SAP Gateway server. You will also need to specify the application context in the back-end system later in this procedure.
