HTTP ProxyLocate this document in the navigation structure

Communication from a company network with the outside world takes place by means of an HTTP proxy.

Context

This section explains how you maintain the appropriate HTTP service for the communication with SAP Jam.

Procedure

  1. In Customizing for SAP NetWeaver, choose Start of the navigation path UI Technologies Next navigation step SAP Jam Integration> Next navigation step Define HTTP Service End of the navigation path (or run transaction SICF).
    The Define Services screen appears.
  2. Choose Execute (F8) without making further specifications.
  3. On the Maintain service screen, choose Start of the navigation path Client Next navigation step Proxy Setting (Ctrl+F2) End of the navigation path.
    The Proxy Configuration for HTTP Client screen appears.
  4. On the HTTPS Protocol tab, in the Host Name and Port fields, enter the default values that the system uses for proxy access.
    If you use global defaults, you can leave the Host Name and Port fields empty.
  5. Choose OK.

Results

You have maintained the HTTP proxy settings.
