Content Administration

With the user interface add-on for SAP NetWeaver different environments are available, each with its own infrastructure. An administrator performs the configuration tasks to set up the environments so that users can access the apps that have been assigned to their respective role.

Typical tasks of content administrators are as follows:

• Creating and enhancing content that is displayed to users like CHIPs or tiles

• Organizing the content in catalogs and groups and making it available to users based on the user role

The following environments are available with the user interface add-on for SAP NetWeaver:

• SAP Fiori

  • SAP Fiori Launchpad

    Note This is the latest version of the home page for SAP Fiori where apps run on the launchpad.

    A home page where users can launch applications on mobile or desktop devices using tiles. Additionally, it can be enriched with specific analytical reports. The launchpad is a shell that provides services for navigation, personalization, single sign-on, and search, and theming and branding support.

    The SAP Fiori launchpad can be configured using the SAP Fiori launchpad designer.

  • SAP Fiori Launch Page

    Note This is the first version of the home page for SAP Fiori where apps run on the launch page.

    A home page where users can launch applications on mobile or desktop devices using tiles.

    The SAP Fiori launch page can be configured using the catalog administration.

• Suite Page Builder

  • A UI development toolkit for HTML5 (SAPUI5) applications that acts as a framework to run Collaborative Human Interface Parts (CHIPs).

    The Suite Page Builder can be configured using the administrator page.
