What's New in SAP Fiori Launchpad

Several new or changed features are available with SAP Fiori launchpad.

Customizing (New)

Authorization Roles (Changed)

The information about configuring authorization roles in the context of using SAP Fiori launchpad has been enhanced.

SAP Fiori Launchpad Intent Analysis (New)

A report is available to check the assignment of a given intent (semantic object - action pair) to a user in the context of SAP Fiori launchpad.

Translation of Tiles, Catalogs, and Groups (New)

Information is available how to translate tiles, catalogs, and groups in SAP Fiori launchpad.

Message Logging (New)

The information about logging for analyzing errors related to SAP Fiori launchpad has been enhanced.

Contact Support (New)

End users can contact support using the Contact Support option in the SAP Fiori launchpad to create an incident in SAP Solution Manager.

Display a Custom Logo (New)

It is now possible to display a custom logo in the launchpad header.

Usability Improvements (New and Changed)

The following usability and accessibility improvements were made in the launchpad:

To delete a group, you drag it to the bottom-right corner of the screen.
The Options button was moved to the top-right corner of the screen.
Keyboard shortcuts were added to the launchpad. Use Alt+0 to display the list of available shortcuts.
You can move between elements in the launchpad using the Tab key.

Search Option (Changed)

Starting from this version, the search option in the shell bar is available by default. In previous versions, when Enterprise Search was not part of the landscape, the search option was not available.

Support for RTL (New)

Support for right-to-left (RTL) languages has been added.

Launch SAP Fiori launchpad designer from PFCG (New)

In Role Maintenance (transaction PFCG), you can go to SAP Fiori launchpad designer to view the content of a catalog or group.
