Prerequisites

The following OData services must be active on the front-end server:

  • PAGE_BUILDER_CONF
  • PAGE_BUILDER_CUST
  • PAGE_BUILDER_PERS

The following ICF services must be active on the front-end server:

  • /sap/public/bc/ui5_ui5
  • /sap/public/bc/ui2
  • /sap/bc/ui2/start_up
  • /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/launchpage
  • /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/tilechips

Step Description
Setting up navigation targets for applications In launchpad configuration (transaction LPD_CUST), you configure the navigation targets.

Creating catalogs and tiles In catalog administration, you create catalogs and assign tiles to these catalogs. For each tile, you configure the data to be displayed on the tile, as well as its navigation target (usually by referencing a lauchpad entry).

If you want catalogs and tiles to be automatically added to a transport request when you create or edit them in launch page administration, you can add parameters to your user profile as described in Start of the navigation path http://help.sap.com/ui-addon Next navigation step Administrator's Guide Next navigation step Content Administration Next navigation step Transporting Pages End of the navigation path.

Assigning catalogs to roles In Role Maintenance (PFCG), you assign catalogs to roles.

Providing users access to the launch page You can provide users access to the launch page in a standalone browser, in SAP NetWeaver Business Client and in SAP Enterprise Portal.
