Creating the Social Media CatalogLocate this document in the navigation structure

In the SAP Fiori launchpad designer, you create a remote catalog for Social Media Integration to allow you to access the SAP Jam-related tiles delivered by SAP.

Context

Note To access the launchpad designer, use one of the following supported browsers:
  • Internet Explorer 9 and above
  • Safari
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Chrome

Procedure

  1. Start the SAP Fiori launchpad designer.
  2. Create a remote catalog:
    1. Choose .
      The Create Catalog dialog box appears.
    2. Select Remote.
    3. Complete the fields as follows:
    Field Value
    Title Provide a title for your catalog, such as Social Media Catalog. Note the title you give your catalog; you will need to provide this in follow-on procedures.
    ID Provide an ID for your catalog, such as Jam. This ID is visible in the launchpad designer.
    Remote ID SMCatalog
    System Alias LOCAL
    Base URL From the dropdown list, select /sap/opu/odata/sap/SM_CATALOG_SRV/.

Results

You have created your Social Media Catalog in the launchpad designer. The catalog service specified in the Base URL field (SM_CATALOG_SRV) adds the predefined Social Media Integration tiles to your catalog. You can now assign your catalog to a role.
