Authorizations for Tiles on the Launch Page

It depends on the user’s roles which tiles are displayed on the launch page. You only need to provide one launch page for all users. For each user, the launch page only displays the tiles that are included in the catalogs which are assigned to the user's roles. The following diagram illustrates these dependencies:

Every tile must be assigned to a catalog.

In Role Maintenance (transaction PFCG), you assign catalogs to roles.

Users are assigned to roles. When users display the launch page, the system checks which catalogs are assigned to their roles and displays the corresponding tiles.

To assign a catalog to a role, in the role menu, create a node of type Catalog Provider.
