Adding Tiles to Groups Using the Tile CatalogLocate this document in the navigation structure

You use the tile catalog to add tiles to the groups in your home page.

Prerequisites

  • The ability to personalize the home page must be enabled in the launchpad configuration. For more information, see Launchpad Configuration Parameters.
  • You have opened the tile catalog from the home page, either by clicking the Tile Catalog button at the bottom of the group panel, or by clicking the Tile catalog (Tile catalog) icon in a group.

Context

The tile catalog lists, by catalog name, all the tiles that are available to a user. You can filter the tiles by catalog name. You can also search for tiles by text in the tile title and subtitle, and in keywords that were defined by the administrator.

Each tile displays one of the following icons:
  • (Add tile to groups) - Indicates that the tile has not yet been added to a group.
  • (Add tile to additional groups) - Indicates that the tile is already assigned to at least one group.

Procedure

  1. In the tile catalog, locate the tile that you want to add to one or more groups.
    Tip You can filter the tiles by catalog name and search for a tile by text.
  2. Click or tap the icon below the tile.
  3. In the Add Tile to Groups dialog box, select the groups to which to add the tile.
    To remove a tile from a group, deselect the group.
    Note You cannot add tiles to locked groups.
  4. If you are done, click or tap OK to save your changes.
  5. To create a new group and add the tile to it, click or tap New Group.
    1. In the Add Tile to New Group dialog box, enter a name for the new group.
    2. Choose one of the following options:
      • Back (Back) - Return to the Add Tile to Groups dialog box, without creating the new group.
      • OK - Add the tile to the new group, and apply all changes from the previous dialog box.
      • Cancel - Close this dialog box and the previous one without saving any changes.
