Configuring ABAP SMILocate this document in the navigation structure

This section describes how to configure the ABAP Social Media Integration (ABAP SMI) in the back-end system or the ABAP SMI hub system.

Note The back-end system you have to configure for the installation of SAP Fiori apps is the SAP Fiori ABAP front-end server, usually co-deployed with the SAP Gateway server.

These Customizing settings cannot be preconfigured by SAP as they are specific to each customer system and client. You have to customize your local server and application settings.

Prerequisites

  • Direct connection to SAP Jam in a system used as an ABAP SMI hub or in any back-end system not using the ABAP SMI hub option

    You have completed the configuration tasks described in:

  • Indirect connection to SAP Jam using an ABAP SMI hub

    • You have configured your ABAP SMI hub system and tested the connection to SAP Jam.
    • You have established an HTTPS connection between the ABAP SMI hub system and the back-end system including valid certificates.
    • You have activated Single-Sign On (SSO).
    • You have your server URL as described in Preparation.
