Transporting PagesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

When you create or edit a page in page administration, the system does not prompt you for a transport request. Instead, the system assigns the page to a transport request and software package that is assigned to your user profile.

Note

In order to transport pages, administrators who create or edit pages must have the three parameters below in their user profile.

Prerequisites

In transaction SE80, you have created a package for holding pages.

In Transport Organizer (transaction SE09), you have created transport requests for transporting client-independent page configurations and client-dependent page customizing.

Procedure
  1. In the backend system, choose Start of the navigation path System Next navigation step User Profile Next navigation step Own Data Next navigation step Parameters End of the navigation path.

    Alternatively, the parameters can also be maintained centrally in transaction SU02.

  2. Enter the following parameters:

    Parameter ID

    Parameter Value

    /UI2/WDC_DEVCLASS

    Software package for page configurations

    /UI2/WD_TRKORR_CONF

    Number of a transport request for transporting client-independent page configurations

    /UI2/WD_TRKORR_CUST

    Number of a transport request for transporting client-dependent page customizing

  3. Save your user profile.

Result

If you now create a new page in page administration, this page is assigned to the corresponding transport request.
