Creating RFC Destination for Inbound QueuesLocate this document in the navigation structure

In this step, you create the RFC destination for inbound queues.

Procedure

  1. In Customizing for SAP NetWeaver, choose Start of the navigation path Gateway Next navigation step OData Channel Next navigation step Configuration Next navigation step Connection Settings Next navigation step SAP NetWeaver Gateway to SAP System Next navigation step Manage RFC Destinations End of the navigation path (or run transaction SM59).
  2. In the RFC Connection navigation panel, choose ABAP Connections > Create.
  3. Complete the fields as follows:

    Field

    Value

    RFC Destination

    Enter IWFND_ODATA_PUSH.

    Connection Type

    Enter 3 – ABAP Connection.

  4. On the Logon and Security tab, enter the bgRFC user and password that you created.
  5. On the Special Options tab, do one of the following:
    • In the bqRFC Version field, select 1 bgRFC.

    • In higher releases, in the Transfer Protocol field, select Classic with bgRFC.
  6. Save your entries.
  7. To test the RFC destination, choose Connection Test.

Results

You have created a background RFC connection from your application to the SAP Gateway system.
