Configuring Additional EndpointsLocate this document in the navigation structure

In this optional step, you configure additional endpoints for an external service provider, such as SAP Jam.

Context

You may need to perform this step if you wish to do one of the following:

  • Use an additional API for SAP Jam, for example, if a new version of the API becomes available

  • Connect to an external service provider other than SAP Jam

Note

If you are using the endpoint api/v1/OData for SAP Jam, the standard settings delivered by SAP are valid and this step is not required.

Procedure

  1. In Customizing for SAP NetWeaver, choose Start of the navigation path UI Technologies Next navigation step SAP Jam Integration Next navigation step Define Service of Provider End of the navigation path.

    The Collaboration: Service screen appears.

  2. Enter the information for each endpoint as follows:

    New SAP Jam Endpoint

    Another Provider (Example for Endpoint http://services.odata.org/V2/OData/OData.svc/Suppliers)
    Service Provider Type: Jam
    Note
    The service provider type must match the service provider type entered in the following transactions:

    • CLB2_APPLI_PLATF

    • CLB2_PLATF
    Service Provider Type: <YourServiceProviderType>
    Note
    The service provider type must match the service provider type entered in the following transactions:

    • CLB2_APPLI_PLATF

    • CLB2_PLATF
    OData Service: DEFAULT

    OData Service: DEFAULT

    Service Name: <YourServiceName>

    Service Name: OData/OData.svc
    Authentication Context: AuthenticationContext for your service
    Example USER is the authentication context for the endpoint api/v1/OData in SAP Jam.

    Authentication Context: NONE
    Note

    For a sample report that uses an API for an external service provider other than SAP Jam, see Programming Examples and Test Report.

  3. Save your entries.

Results

You have now set up the endpoints for your API.
