Costs Centers: Cost Component Split

Use

Activity allocation posts costs using allocation cost elements, resulting in loss of the information on the original cost elements. Cost component splits, which are generated during price calculation, summarize the information of multiple source cost elements onto a smaller number of cost components. The source cost elements are assigned to cost components. This InfoSource contains the values of the cost components – and therefore the values of the source cost elements assigned to them.

Note Note

In records the system identifies the costs in object currency of a cost center with 0CURTYPE = 10 (company code currency).

This InfoSource can also fill the obsolete InfoCube CO-OM-CCA: Primary Cost Component Split (old version) . To prevent this, choose the Data targets tab when you create an InfoPackage. Select Select data targets . Select only the InfoCube that you want to be filled by the InfoSource.
