Function documentationMixed Unit Load Device

In certain situations, it may be necessary to load goods from various air freight bookings for the same flight in a unit load device. You can use this function to represent this in the air freight booking.

Features

If you choose the option Cargo Management in your air freight booking on the Capacity and Cargo tab page under Change Hierarchy, the system displays cargo items only. Here you can define a unit load device as a mixed unit load device (mixed ULD). On the lower-level tab page Mixed ULD, the system displays all air freight bookings that belong to this mixed unit load device. You can for example check which quantities from the other air freight bookings were loaded to this unit load device.

You create a mixed unit load device by selecting the Mixed ULD checkbox as described above in the relevant unit load devices in the associated air freight bookings. The unit load devices must use the same ULD number and the same flight.

If you enter the weight of a unit load device for an associated air freight booking, the system also displays this weight in the other associated air freight bookings.

You can also create a freight order for pick-up and delivery for all associated air freight bookings (see Pick-up and Delivery Freight Orders). In this freight order, the checkbox field Mixed Usage indicates that this type of scenario is involved.
