Creating Handling, Vehicle, Calendar, and Transp. Unit Resources
This procedure describes how to create the following resource types:
Handling resource (see Handling Resource)
Vehicle resource (see Vehicle Resource)
Calendar resource (see Calendar Resource)
Transportation Unit resource (see Transportation Unit Resource)
Prerequisites
You have specified a factory calendar in Customizing for SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) under
SCM Basis

.If you want to create a vehicle resource, you have to have specified a means of transport in Customizing for SAP TM under
Transportation Management

Procedure
You have the following options:
On the
SAP Easy Access
screen, choose Transportation Management
Master Data
Resources
Define Resource
.In SAP NetWeaver Business Client, choose
Master Data
Resources
Define Resource
.
Choose the
Create Resources
pushbutton.Select the tab page for the resource type for which you want to create a new resource.
NoteYou cannot change the resource type later.
End of the note.For handling resources, specify the resource class, the time zone or location, and the factory calendar.
For calendar resources, specify the time zone or location, and the factory calendar.
For vehicle resources, specify the resource class, the time zone or depot location, the factory calendar, the means of transport, the dimension, and the capacity.
For transportation unit resources, specify the resource class, the time zone or depot location, the factory calendar, the dimension, and the capacity.
NoteYou can specify the depot location in the
Location

In addition, you can define other resource-specific information, such as downtimes, attached equipment, time-continuous capacity, or qualifications.
