Use

You can use different objects for long texts, depending on the method that you use to migrate long texts.

Procedure

Objects for Long Texts with Object 0001

The following target structures exist:

/SAPDMC/LTXTH: Long text header

¾         STYPE           Record type (technical field, value = 1))

¾         OBJECT         Application object

¾         NAME            Text name

¾         ID                   Text ID

¾         SPRAS           Language

/SAPDMC/LTXTL: Text line in long text

¾         STYPE                 Record type (technical field, value = 2))

¾         TEXTFORMAT Format field (2 characters)

¾         TEXTLINE       Application object

The TEXTFORMAT field is used to include information about the formatting of the text. If you want to make a 1:1 transfer of the text, enter ‘*’ here.

First read the documentation about the program RSTXLITF. This documentation contains important tips about how to format the inbound file for this program.
