Forms in Business Workflow
You can use forms to enter data for processing in Business Workflow, or to display and edit data. Using forms also enables users who do not have a SAPGUI installed on their computer to use the SAP System.
Business Workflow supports the following types of forms:
These forms are related to a data structure that is saved in the workflow container. Using the Forms step type, you can generate a form from the workflow system with a structure that you can adapt yourself. This form can be used for displaying and editing the form data. It can also contain additional control elements that can be used, for example, for the approval of form content. For more information, see Maintenance of a Form Step.
You can also use a form to start a workflow. The workflow system can automatically generate the required form transaction. For more information, see Definition of Options for Starting a Workflow.
If you are using the SAPGUI for HTML, you can execute forms directly in your Web browser.
Using Web Forms enables users to communicate with the SAP System using a web browser and the Internet. You can use web forms to:
· Start workflows
· Execute work items
For more information, see Integration of Web Forms.
