Function documentation Workflow Log: Technical View  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The workflow log contains all the information about one workflow that is being executed. There are different views of the workflow log that you can choose from.

The technical view is intended for workflow system administrators, in particular.

Integration

You can switch to the following views from the technical view:

·        Workflow Log: Standard View

·        Graphical Workflow Log

Features

The technical view comprises three areas:

·        Steps

·        Details

·        Tab pages for deadlines, messages, and so on

Steps

Under Steps in this part of the window, you can see the steps of the workflow displayed in a hierarchical structure.

Steps that are arranged in parallel in the workflow definition are shown as parallel branches in the hierarchical structure view.

In the structure view, each processing of a loop is represented by a node. By expanding the node, you can display all the steps that were executed in the loop.

Details

This part of the window displays details about the selected step, for example, ID, description, and status.

To display the agent of the step, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info Agent.

Tab Pages

The tab pages contain further information about the selected step in each case:

·        Step Chronicle: used for error analysis in particular. After execution, displays all methods that were executed for the step, as well as the actual agent and the status.

·        Deadlines: If a deadline is missed, the tab page header displays a symbol to indicate this.

·        Task Description: displays the description of the task on which the step is based.

·        Container: displays the container of the selected step.

·        Messages: displays all messages for the execution of the step (error and success messages).
