Use

In the subscription you can define whether notifications are to be sent by e-mail or SMS.

If the recipient of a message wants to be able to call the relevant work item directly from the message, for example, then the notification should be sent by e-mail.

However, if the recipient does not always have access to their e-mail inbox, for example, then it is more appropriate to send the notification by SMS.

If you want to send the same notifications by e-mail and SMS, you must define two subscriptions: one subscription for the e-mail notification and one subscription for the SMS notification.

Prerequisites

You must be able to send e-mails and SMS by using SAPconnect or Business Communication Services.

You have defined a selection and within it specified the category to which the selected work items will be assigned.

Procedure

...

       1.      Create a subscription in the administration application (see also: Defining Subscriptions).

       2.      On the Message tab page, define the delivery type:

¡        To send the message as an e-mail, choose HTML Message or Text-Only.

¡        To send the message as an SMS, choose SMS Message.
