Period that a product needs after production before it can be used for further production or by a customer.

The maturity date that is defined in the product master, is copied over to all product receipts (production order, stock transfer order,...) that are generated by APO or that have been transferred to the OLTP system with no maturity data specification.

The maturity date of a product receipt is taken into account during pegging. It is then only possible for a product receipt to meet a product demand, if the time of demand falls outside of the maturity date.
