Build Cycle Time (SCOR)
Technical name: -/-
(None, because calculated key figure is based on restricted key figures in the Yield_SCOR query).
Use
This
SCOR Key Figure is used by the Build Cycle Time query (repetitive manufacturing, 0PP_C07_Q002_SCOR). This key figure determines approximately how long it takes to manufacture a production unit (either several units or the standard lot size). The build cycle time is the average production time for make-to-stock products. It is calculated by dividing the average number of units in production at any given time by the average daily production rate in units.
This key figure is the takt for production lines in repetitive manufacturing.
Prerequisites for use:
This key figure is useful only in the area of repetitive manufacturing, because in repetitive manufacturing production is not related to orders. A time frame within larger lot quantities with a steady production flow is considered here.
Example The key figure is calculated on the basis of the total available capacity. The Production Line characteristic is added to the InfoCube 0PP_C07 for this.
Example: Considerations about production line capacity
- The production line must be modeled as a work center.
- The information in the key figure depends on the type of capacity planning. Exception: Capacity utilization is almost 100%.
- In the area of discrete manufacturing this key figure is as important as the total build time key figure.
- The product that is finished on the line is not taken into account in the definition of the key figure. Only similar products must be used, since this ensures that you can get useful information from this key figure.
Note
- The base quantity is specified manually in the query, because the system does not determine the number of units that are being processed at any given time.
- The calculation is more accurate if information about times and quantities is made available through confirmation of activities.
- The general factory calendar can be overwritten by a special factory calendar at the work center.
