Use

You can monitor the execution status, start date and time for BI processes and process chains. You must select the process type that you want to monitor. You can only monitor one process type at a time. The status is color-coded. Processes and process chains can have the following status:

·        Successfully completed (green)

·        Completed (green)

·        Ended with errors and cancelled (red)

·        Active (yellow)

Note

The color code is displayed in parentheses.

You use this information to identify processes that are adversely affecting system performance.

Procedure

       1.      In the Detailed Navigation pane, under Data Load Status, choose Process Status.

       2.      On the Process Status screen, in the BI System Selection area, select a BW System.

       3.      On the Process Status screen, in the Process Type Selection area, select a Process Type.

       4.      Check the following iViews for processes:

Process Chain Status

In this iView, you see the status of the process chains. The status of the process chains is color-coded. This iView is tabular and provides the following information:

Description

Process Chain

Technical name of the process chain.

Status

Status of the process chain.

Time Stamp

Date and time at which the process chain was started. The date format is day.month.year hours:minutes:seconds (DD.MM.YEAR HH:MM:SS), for example, 06.10.2006 22:26:34.

Process Status

In this iView, you see the status of the processes. The status of processes is color-coded. This iView is tabular and provides the following information:

Description

Tp. (Type)

Icon for the process type. For example, This graphic is explained in the accompanying text is displayed for a start process.

Process

Technical name of the process for the selected process type.

Status

Status of the process.

Time Stamp

Date and time at which the process was started. The date format is day.month.year hours:minutes:seconds (DD.MM.YEAR HH:MM:SS), for example, 06.10.2006 22:26:34.

Result

You can identify the processes and process chains that are adversely affecting system performance. You use the available RRIs to further analyze these processes and process chains.
