This ODS object contains information about material prices. The Production area contains information about quantity only, and no information about value. However, production or logistics managers also need to have information about material values. This ODS object therefore provides information about standard material prices for every period.

If a customer always wants to calculate his value information with a constant price, he can load the material price information at a particular time of the year (usually the beginning of the year). If the customer prefers current prices, he can load price information for every period of the year. The most current price information is considered when data is updated in the InfoCube.

The DataSources Material Prices (0CO_PC_ACT_05), Material Prices (Sales Order Stocks) (0CO_PC_ACT_06) and Material Prices (Project Stocks) (0CO_PC_ACT_07) do not offer any delta information. This is appropriate, since the calculated prices for a corresponding period do not change.
