This key figure is defined as the number of days taken by a kanban container for consumption at the demand source. This is the total days taken by a kanban container to change from status FULL to IN USE and then finally to WAIT or EMPTY.

This key figure is then averaged for a particular control cycle, taking into account the factory calendar and shift timings.

The actual consumption time is calculated in terms of days, if kanban consumption is more than a day. And, the actual consumption time is calculated in hours, if kanban consumption is less than a day. For more details, refer Actual Consumption Time in Hours.
