Characteristic Characteristic: 0TCTDSTOBJ

The characteristic DataStore Object (0TCTDSTOBJ) refers to an object used to store consolidated and cleaned transaction data at documentation level (atomic level). A DataStore object describes a consolidated dataset from one or more InfoSources. This dataset can be evaluated with a BEx Query.

A DataStore object contains a key (for example, documentation number or item) as well as data fields that can contain character fields (customer, for example) as key figures. The data of a DataStore object can be updated into InfoCubes and/or other DataStore objects in the same system or other systems with a delta update.

Contrary to multi-dimensional data storage with InfoCubes, the data in DataStore objects is stored in transparent, flat database tables.
