Task Area

The shift manager, together with his team, is responsible for ensuring that the plan created by the production planner is carried out during a shift. His area of responsibility extends across a production area or one or more production lines.

The shift manager has personnel responsibility and sometimes also cost center responsibility for his area.

The plant manager has administrative management functions and carries out operation/work center analyses as well as capacity and quality analyses.
