You use report-report interface (RRI) functionality to analyze the time trends of successfully executed BI operations. RRIs allow seamless navigation from the iViews to the relevant transaction or query. RRIs ensure:
● Minimal effort in administration of BI systems
● Immediate navigation to the transaction or query, optimizing the time taken
● Optimal system performance
Most RRIs are common to all iViews, but some RRIs are specific to iViews on specific monitors.
1. On the Data Load Statistics screen, choose <BI operation>.
2. On the <BI operation> screen, in the BI System Selection area, select your BW System.
3. In the context menu of the relevant iView, select your RRI.
<BI operation> is a process chain, a process, an InfoPackage, or a DTP.
The following RRIs are available on all iViews that can be viewed in the BI operation runtimes monitor:
Report-Report Interfaces Common to All iViews
Process chain log, display process chain, and change process chain RRIs are relevant for processes and process chains.
The maintain <BI operation> RRI is only relevant for InfoPackages and DTPs.
RRI Name |
Description |
<BI operation>:Analysis |
For the selected BI operation, you can view the following key figures: ● Average recent duration ● Average duration ● Deviation Depending on the BI operation that you select, you may also be able to display additional key figures. |
Process Chain Log |
Displays the Process Chain Display Log for the selected process chain in transaction RSPC. You can view the individual processes involved in the process chain as a tree structure. In this log, you see the start time for the process chain. |
Display Process Chain |
Displays the individual processes in the selected process chain in transaction RSPC. You can view the individual processes involved in the process chain as a tree structure. |
Change Process Chain |
Displays the selected process chain in edit mode (Process Chain Maintenance Modified Version) in transaction RSPC. You can maintain individual processes involved in the process chain. |
Maintain <BI Operation> |
Displays the scheduler (Maintain <BI operations>) screen in transaction RSA1. You can change the settings for BI operations. |
Workload Monitor (ST03) |
Starts transaction ST03 (Workload Monitor) for the NetWeaver system that you selected in the NetWeaver Administrator. See: Workload Monitor |
Data Warehousing Workbench |
Starts transaction RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench: Modeling) for the NetWeaver system that you selected in the NetWeaver Administrator. See: Modeling |
Analysis and Repair of BI Object |
Starts transaction RSRV (Analysis and Repair of BI Objects) for the NetWeaver system that you selected in the NetWeaver Administrator. |
The following additional RRIs are available for the Total Runtimes and Deviations in Total Runtimes iViews for the BI operations runtime monitor:
