Production Planner - Process Manufacturing - Production Analysis
Technical name: SAP_BW_PRODPL_PROD_ANALYSIS
Tasks
The production planner is responsible for the conversion of the planning data from the superior supply chain (for example, from the production manager) within a plant or several subordinate production areas / lines.
The production planner ensures that the plant schedule is transparent. He coordinates the use of the plant's resources such as machines/lines, material, and personnel with the goal of requirements coverage that is as complete as possible and on schedule. For this, he breaks down the specifications to plant-level conditions and checks them according to availability and costs. He adjusts any deviations from the plan with production management.
A production planner has the following main tasks:
Tasks in the Business Information Warehouse
The production planner carries out production analyses. To accomplish these tasks, BW provides business content information in the form of workbooks. Each task corresponds to a cluster of one or more workbooks. The workbooks contain one or more queries that yield the relevant information. The tasks (clusters) are logically grouped together into task areas (subchannels). The following workbook is available for the production planner:
