Phases
Package Settings
In this phase, you make certain technical settings such as assigning logical system names in the receiver system, excluding user-related data from data transfer, specifying scrambling rules, selecting additional customer-created tables for transfer and so on.
System Analysis
SAP TDMS identifies all client-specific tables for deletion and generates programs to delete the tables in the receiver system.
Data Checks
In this phase, you execute background activities that prepare the receiver system and initiate data deletion from the receiver system.
You can lock the users in the receiver system so that no changes take place during data deletion.
Post-Transfer Processing
In this phase, SAP TDMS makes a few post-transfer settings in the receiver system such as adjustment of number ranges and adjustment of Business Workplace tables.
If you had set a lock on users in the receiver system during data deletion, you can unlock the users now.
You can additionally clear the temporary tables filled during the data migration in all participating systems.
