Function documentationSystem Parameter Details

 

This report allows you to analyze the systems participating in a TDMS data transfer. You can use the results of the analysis to plan for an optimal TDMS run.

Prerequisites

To run the Customer System Analysis tool:

  • You have ensured that the following release requirements are met:

    • All participating systems are on SAP NetWeaver 700 or above

    • All participating systems are on SAP TDMS Release 4.0

  • You have defined a system landscape using either of the following methods:

    • You have created a migration package for SAP TDMS

    • You have defined RFC destinations for the sender system and the receiver system using the SM59 transaction.

  • You have carried out one of the following actions before running the report:

    • You have created a new migration package and defined the RFC destinations for the package.

    • You have created RFC destinations using the SM59 transaction for the intended sender system and receiver system.

Activities

Proceed as follows:

  1. Choose the Analyses and Reports work center from the TDMS Control Center or from the left navigation pane.

  2. In the Analyses and Reports work center, choose System Parameter Details.

  3. Select a method to analyze system parameter details.

    • If you select the Enter Package ID radio button, enter a migration package ID.

    • If you select the Enter RFC Destinations radio button, enter the RFC destinations for the sender system and the receiver system that you previously created in the SM59 transaction.

  4. Execute the report.

  5. You can view parameter details for the central system, the sender system, and the receiver system in the respective tab pages.

  6. You can view the recommended value and the current value for the relevant parameters.

  7. To view parameter details, click the corresponding arrow in the Go To Transaction column.

  8. Choose the Notes pushbutton to view a list of mandatory and recommended notes that you can implement for the current Support Package in the execution system.
