If you installed Application on a Windows client in addition to a server, follow the steps in this section to configure Application Server on your client machine. If you will be running Application Server directly on the server machine, you can skip this section.

The administrator must have the following information to modify the configuration files after the install, in order to set up a client/server configuration:

  • The name of the Windows server, or the IP address if the client will have no name resolution mechanism.

  • The name of the user account and password set up for the user to access the Windows server. This is the user ID and password at the operating system level, not at the Application Server level.
