Example of User Permissions Across Multiple Contexts
You can assign the same user to more than one group for the same context. If this is the case, the user gains a superset of all of the user's group permissions when using that context.
In this example, the Executive and Development groups are both assigned to Context A, and user Tom is a member of both the Executive group and the Development group. Therefore, user Tom can create scorecards and initiatives when using context A.
Application Group: Executive
Member: User Tom
Permissions: Create/Edit Scorecards
Context: A
Application Group: Development
Member: User Tom
Permissions: Create Initiatives
Context: A
In this example, the Executive group is assigned to Context A and the Development group is assigned to Context B. User Tom is a member of both the Executive group and the Development group. Therefore, user Tom can create scorecards when using context A and can create initiatives when using context B.
Application Group: Executive
Member: User Tom
Permissions: Create/Edit Scorecards
Context: A
Application Group: Development
Member: User Tom
Permissions: Create Initiatives
Context: B
In this example, the Executive and Development groups are both assigned to Context A. The Development group is also assigned to context B. User Tom is a member of both the Executive group and the Development group. Therefore, user Tom can create scorecards and initiatives when using context A. User Tom can create initiatives but not scorecards when using context B.
User: Tom
Application Group: Executive
Permissions: Create/Edit Scorecards
Application Group: Development
Permissions: Create Initiatives
Context: A
Application Group: Development
