Procedure

  1. Click Configure Scheduler in the Scheduler section.

  2. Click Add Task to add the task and enable it using a default schedule of Monthly at 12:01 every day. If this is an initiative alert, the default number of days for alerting subscribers is three.

  3. Click Edit on the activity you want to schedule.

The lower part of the window displays fields for entering the schedule.

  4. From the Set to run drop-down list, select the frequency you want the Scheduler to run that particular activity.

For example, if your objective and KPI data is updated monthly, you may want to have the Scheduler check monthly for new data. If users are added and removed weekly, you may want to have the Scheduler synchronize user tables weekly.

  5. From the hour and minute drop-down lists, select the time of day to run the activity.

The hours follow a 24-hour clock. For example, you would select 19:00 for 7 PM.

  6. Do one of the following to select the day on which the system runs the activity based on the frequency selected in the Set to run drop-down list:

    • If you selected Daily, you can skip this step because the system checks daily.

    • If you selected Weekly, from the Every drop-down list, select the day of the week you want the system to check for scorecard updates every week.

    • If you selected Monthly, from the Every day drop-down list, select the day of the month from 1 to 31 that you want the system to check for scorecard updates every month.

  7. (For Initiatives alerts) In the Notification days text box, type the number of days before a due date to start alerting subscribers.

  8. Make sure the Enabled option is selected.

  9. Click Save.
