Filtering Objectives or KPIs by Dimension Members

Procedure

In the Objectives view or Scorecard Overviews view, click Dimension Filters to display the Select Filters dialog box.
From the Dimensions list, select the dimension you want to filter.

Note
If you see a Type dimension, it means your site is set up to switch what is being compared to actual, such as target, forecast, or benchmark. If you select a member other than Target, then all instances of Target in the Scorecard component change to the selected Type dimension member. For example, the Scorecard Overviews view and the Objective Details view will show a Type dimension member column instead of a Target column if your layout includes KPIs and also the Target column.

From the Hierarchy drop-down list, select one of the following:

Field	What You Need To Know
Hierarchy	Displays the dimension members by the selected hierarchy. If the dimension contains multiple hierarchies, then you can also select which hierarchy to display from the View by drop-down list. If you do not specify which hierarchy to display, then the default hierarchy is used.
Find	Displays the Search String text box where you can type a string to search for, and then click Search. Note Use a question mark (?) to match a single character. Use an asterisk () to match multiple characters. For example, Sa matches Safe and Sam; H?ll* matches Hill, Hillary, and Hall; page matches New pages and Page hits. If you are searching for a name that contains special characters, for example, an equals sign (=), you can include that character in the Search String text box. If you are searching for a name that contains a question mark (?), you cannot use that character to search because it is reserved for wildcard searches. End of the note. Any matches are displayed based on a member's short name and long name.
User-Defined Hierarchies	Display the User-Defined Hierarchies available for this dimension, if there are any. Select a User-Defined Hierarchy to display its members.

User-Defined Hierarchies

Display the User-Defined Hierarchies available for this dimension, if there are any. Select a User-Defined Hierarchy to display its members.

From the available members list on the left, select the member you want to focus on, and then click Add Marked.
(Optional) Continue to select a dimension from the Dimensions list and then select one member you want to filter into the view.
Click Return.
