Procedure

  1. Click Set KPIs in the Scorecards section.

  2. From the Context drop-down list, select the context to work with.

  3. From the Select a KPI drop-down list, select the standard KPI you want to copy.

  4. Click New to display the New KPI name dialog box.

  5. In the New KPI Name text box, type a name for the KPI.

    To maintain uniformity of KPI names, you should type a name no larger than 50 characters, including spaces. Once you review the KPIs in the Scorecard component, you may need to return to this section to rename the KPI if it does not fit correctly.

  6. Click Create Standard KPI.

  7. Click Create using current values and then click OK. The text boxes remain filled with the same information, but the Select a KPI drop-down list shows the new name for the copied KPI.

  8. You can modify any of the definitions for this KPI just as though it were a new KPI created from empty text boxes.

  9. (Optional) Click Set Display Order to change the order that the KPI appears in the perspective. By default, KPIs are listed in alphabetical order. KPIs starting with a capital letter are listed first, and then KPIs starting with a lower case letters are listed next.

  10. Click Save.
